Since 1990 we have offered our clients Standard Cottage Designs which provides a relatively cheap alternative to bespoke designs with the added bonus that we could show prospective clients similar houses they could experience. No better way to fine-tune your whishes. Many of these cottages have been constructed, some standard but most of them with some variations to suit the client.

All our Standard Cottages have a central atrium layout in common, providing great ergonomics and efficient use of space. Fine tuned over the years

Now we also offer Cottages that comply with Passive House standards for clients who prefer to invest a bit more into the future. Compared to a basic house like we used to construct many years ago Passive House Detailing is much more expensive but compared to the much higher standard we have been working to over the past number of years, then the extra step to passive house compliance should not cost more than an extra 15%. Omission of high capacity and costly heating systems offset the Passive House costs substantially. Small infra red units, not much larger than a bulb already suffice the heat requirement. Just body heat will already make a difference in such a well insulated environment.
